Indulge in selected regional delicacies.

In our welcoming restaurant, separate side rooms or light-flooded “Salettl” conservatory, we serve selected home-style specialities and seasonal regional dishes. Using locally sourced produce and gentle cooking methods has always been of great importance to us.

Many ingredients are home-grown, like our fresh asparagus, fallow deer or herbs from our own garden. On our special fallow deer menu you will find true “Schmankerl” (that’s what special treats are called in Bavaria!) all year long.

Our garden restaurant

Make the most of summer in our secluded garden restaurant!

Sit under shady chestnut trees and enjoy summery treats in rural tranquility. A hearty snack and a refreshing Radler (mixture of beer and lemonade) or even a Maß (one litre of beer) are the perfect end to a busy day. Naturally, you can also enjoy all the specialities of our varied menu. While you relax, your children can frolic safely and undisturbed on the playground nearby.

You will find a wide variety of specialities all year long.

In addition to our regular menu, and with great love to detail, we create seasonal treats that reflect the freshness of our ingredients as well as our artisanship. For instance, you will find a remarkable selection of asparagus dishes in spring. Over summer we spoil you with refreshing, light salads. In autumn, when the sun’s rays are lukewarm and the wind blows in our faces, our menu is a “who’s who” of all the good things of the season: exquisite mushroom dishes, duck and goose are a must on the menu! In the winter, soups and soufflés as well as pot roasts with winter spices will warm you up.

A rich selection of desserts and hearty snacks invite you to feast and enjoy our excellent cuisine all year long. Our menu will satisfy whatever appetite you might have.

Fallow deer from our own herd is our individual speciality – and we bring it fresh to the table all through the year. Take a look at our special game menu and see the rich selection for yourself!

At the end of a sumptuous meal, you simply must have a “Stamperl” (shot) of homemade pear brandy or walnut liqueur. We have been offering these and many other unusual specialities of the same kind ever since landlord Xaver Hofmeier and his brother Herbert Hofmeier founded our very own brandy manufacture, transforming their long-term hobby into a schnapps distillery which is second to none. Only apples, pears and other fruit from local orchards are distilled for our spirits and they will certainly lift yours!

Awards

If a restaurant receives a lot of awards, it means that it focuses on the culture of cuisine and is passionate about preparing seasonal culinary highlights all year round.

For this, high-quality regional produce plays a major role.

And we are not promising too much. Just recently, the Bavarian hotel and restaurant association again awarded us the “Outstanding Bavarian Cuisine” quality seal with the maximum distinction of three diamonds. In addition, Bavaria’s Economic State Secretary, Franz Josef Pschierer, awarded us the coveted GastroManagementPass.
